How can i sync music with animation? Dash2005

flash (macromedia):
I have searched long o nthis topic and I cannot see a perfect solution.

Music loops nicely if set as a seperate movie clip with the loop feature
turned on.

Calculating the length of an animation and adjusting frames per second so it
is the same length as the music buy recording the music at a certain bpm does
not seem to work properly.

What is the best way to have an animation move i ntime to the music and stay
in sync forever. Setting sound to stream always results in a nasty gap at the
end of the music and the animation runs at varying speeds from preview to
browser.

Does nayone have a tried and tested solution, I have seen some good examples
of this so i know it is possible.

hard to understand why setting your sound to stream causes the animation to vary speed. In fact that
is the opposite of what Stream does - stream sounds are embedded into the timeline forcing the
animation to be in sync with it and sacrificing frames in the event the animation becomes to heavy.
I have been streaming sounds to animation for years as well as thousands of other animators with
success. Can you provide more info and possibly the FLA?
