flash (macromedia): Hi, I'm using Flash 8 and I'm importing an mpeg video file into Flash. The
video run time is almost two minutes. When I import the video, the quality is
great dimished and the run time ends up being approximately 3x the amount that
it should be -- there is a separate audio file that goes along with it and the
video should be the same length as the audio and I have to loop the audio 3x to
fit the length of the video.

To import the video file, I went to Import, then Import Video, then browsed to
the file to get the path. Then clicked on Embed video in SWF and play in
timeline. For the video encloding profile, I choose Flash 8 - High Quality
(700kbps). Does anyone have any idea of what I may be doing wrong? I have done
this before in previous versions of Flash without any problems. Any assistance
would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks.

Several things... first, if you're importing an MPEG video then it's =

already compressed. That means Flash is recompressing a compressed vide=
o, =

so yes, it's going to look much worse. You want to import the highest =

quality video you can tolerate so that Flash can compress it only once.

For your length issue make sure you import the video at the same FPS as =
=

your Flash document's set. This should match everything up again.
