flash (macromedia): Betty - very true and it depends on your needs - Flash and AE are very different programs for very
different reasons and sometimes they can overlap in very creative ways. If all you want to do is
create content for FLV in AE - than go for it - if you want to create vector-based animation and/or
add robust interactivity using actionScript, then Flash is the right tool. Sometimes it isn't
choosing one over the other but rather combining both for an even better experience.

:confused;
Look guys, I'm an enthusiastic After Effects user... for me it's one of the
best post-production tools ever invented. My question: why bother learning
Flash (a web-based animation program) when I can simply work in After Effects
(cool for video/broadcast) and then encode my stuff into flv format?
