Turn off new line indicator? -- flash (macromedia)

ummm, i'm sure it is me but what's the "end of line indicator"? never heard of that before. It shows
a "dot" for all spaces and tabs? Is this really in the Flash IDE? I'm stumped.

I somehow managed to turn on the end of line indicator icon in my Flash 8 IDE.
It also shows a dot for all spaces and >> for all tabs. Would any of you know
how to turn this off?

I'll see if I can take a screenshot of it. It looks like a little paragraph
icon at the end of each line in the actionscript editor that is built into
Flash 8 pro. Then whenever I tab in the actionscript it puts ">>" and whenever
I space it puts "."
