flash (macromedia): Having trouble importing video... when I goto file>import to library> my video
imports ok but my sound gets stripped out.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

PS- video sound works when run through quicktime or Windows Media Player.

Yes, I have had that problem before. I had to remux the file so that sound is
there when it gets converted to FLV.

I just open the file in Videoredo (you can dl a free trial of it), then open
the file I need to convert. Select Save AS, in the window that pops up click on
optons, and select MPEG for audio encoding. Then save the file. The new file
will convert in Flash with sound.

If anyone knows a better way (or why this happens) I am all ears.
