flash (macromedia): I would guess this has been asked a thousand times. I'm trying to make this as
easy for a client as possible. Is it even possible to do this? Have flash
read the contents of a folder (all .jpg) and display them as a slide show. I
just don't want to have to edit the .fla everytime a client adds a photo.

Maybe an easier way to ask: Can I have a slide show without embedding the
photos in an .swf file?

Thanks,

Sabbath

this will require server side , like PHP or ASP , flash can't print out folder content.
You would than load that PHP to flash as variable, based on result build gallery.
On the other hand it could be easily done with XML. The client could update it easily
using any text editor like NOTEPAD, just copy paste existing lines and change image
name and description, or whatever is that you have there beside the image.
