flash (macromedia) : MP3 Seemless Audio loop

Hi,

I am trying to make my mp3 file loop in a flash project.

I recorded my file from vinyl to aiff 16 bit 44.1KHz. After some
editing to make the loop seemless I saved it as .wav with Recycle.
After that I imported my file into iTunes 7 to make a 128Kbps
joint-stereo mp3 file which I launched into my project. The problem im
having is that my loop goes in a tempo of about 50% of the normal
speed. Im using an actionscript to play my mp3 loop.

Is my mother .aiff file in a wrong bitrate ? Am I using the wrong mp3
encoding ? Do I need to have a mother .aiff file in a specific encoding
before I make mp3 out of it ? Should I not use .wav ? I have tried all
sorts of mp3 encodings via iTunes import like mono, 64Kbps etc.

I tried playing a longer mp3 file which I got from a podcast via the
same actionscript and it works perfect. I think it either has to do
with the short length of the loop (less then 1 second) or with the
encoding.

Plies help :)

It looks like the timeout before the loop plays again is too long.
