flash (macromedia): bascially I want to make a standalone cursor object with a a few different
animations depending upon what I howver it over.

At the minute I cant get it to follow the mouse properly. It end up out of
line somehow instead of being on the mouse's actual coords. Ive put the code
for it in its own actionscript but am not sure how to get it to run. I must be
using the wrong trigger [atm its like: onClipEvent(enterFrame)]

Also I can work out how to keep it as a single object but give it different
animations. Do I need to make the animations sub-objects (if such a thing
exists) and load them individually from inside the cursormc's actionscrpt?

on enterframe is a bit general, please paste the code and we will tell you
where it goes wrong.

You can attach movie clip which has animation within itself.
Not sure how you determine what animation play when but you can have it within that
clip and pick up anytime you wish. Either single timeline or made of multiple
movie clips.
