flash (macromedia): I am working on re-designing my site in Flash. I have the PSD's for every page.
I found that if I open them in Fireworks and save as a PNG, I can import into
flash and have every element to animate.

My question is...is it better to draw the basic shapes and buttons in Flash or
is it ok to import everything from Photoshop and convert the bitmaps to symbols?

that is sort of a non-question - it depends on the style of the graphics - none is better than the
other without knowing what the style is - vestors are scaleable - bitmaps are not - so if you dont
plan on scaling or rotating them in flash yer fine - but overall, usually is better to work with
vectirs unless the style of the graphics is beyond what vectors can handle.

Hi,
As Chris said it is about what do you need from your object. Also, see which
way suite you most, I myself like to do most of my Flash objects in Flash, just
keep Photoshop for stuff i could not achieve with Flash or Images.
if my Flash movie will be scalable (Do not have a fixed size), I would try to
keep most of the content vectors to not distorted when SWF movie scaled.
