flash (macromedia) : Breaking up audio

Hi, I was hoping someone here could tell me a way to break apart audio with
keyframes. I'm a flash animator and I'm trying to break my animation's audio
file into scenes. I know you can manually adjust the starting point, but
that's both tedious and slightly inaccurate. It shouldn't be that hard for
Flash to handle this, or for there to be an extension.

Can anyone help?

split your audio files before you import them

try Slice Audio File Splitter (freeware)

if you want to synchronizes the sound with your frames,
change the synchronization option to "stream",

Perhaps I didn't explain myself well enough.

My animation's audio comes as one large file spanning the whole timeline.
Within the timeline however I have symbols that hold all my shots with the
animation. I'd like a way to break apart that large audio clip so that I can
then copy clips of it into each respecting symbol.

So basically, a way to add a keyframe to audio that keeps the stream going.

Thanks, however I was aware of this solution but was hoping there was a more
efficient way of doing this directly in Flash, so it is precise and not
doubling up on my audio files.

If anyone else know of a way to accomplish this in Flash (perhaps by an
extension) I'd gladly appreciate any help.
