flash (macromedia):
Can anyone tell me the best settings to use for converting a flash movie to AVI format. once going in to Export movie selecting AVI I get many giving options. I have tried playing and adjusting the settings on all of them but cant find an option that give the clarity you get from the html or fla export. Any info would be appreciated. Gary
Hi, From my experience, I prefer to export video as MOV Instead of AVI, MOV gets a better results and allows exporting the movie clips animation. But if you like to export as AVI, try to increase the Video Format to 32 bit with Alpha. And for the best quality, do not check the Compress Video check box, but this will generate a very high size video and takes long time to render it. I myself use the compress option and try different compression format to get the best result (I myself use Intel Indeo 4.5) and increase the compression quality to get a better video quality.
Rafiq I have taken your advice and the MOV workes well and the size is amazingly low, however I want to import it in to the windows basic movie maker which does not import MOV format so I will have to convert it to one of the following: Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and ..wmv Is there a free software available to convert the MOV file to one of the above or how should I go about doing this. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks Gary
Hi, I try several options to export from a flash document into an avi file. The problem is that when I play de avi file the image keeps going ahead of the sound. If I play the swf file, the image and sound are good. I absolutely need an avi file to play it on a DVD player.
