Aha. Yeah, there was a fundamental shift in the way spans of frames
were selected -- this was several versions ago, but I don't remember which
version -- but the up swing is, you now have your choice: the old way, or
the new way.

Edit > Preferences > General.

Look for the "span based selection" checkbox and add or remove your
checkmark, as desired.

Trouble selecting frames in timeline TMCDesign

Hi,

I am very new at Flash, but seem to be getting the hang of it pretty quickly
after a month, I think. But of course there is alot I do not know.

I had not been having trouble making selections previously in the timeline. I
sometimes select an entire tween in the timeline to move it ahead or back if
needed. That used to work fine (earlier in the week). Now, however, when I
select a tweened section, the ENTIRE line of frames gets selected. I even
cannot select one empty frame.

I also noticed now that when I want to select a frame, instead of the usual
cursor, I get a horizontal line with an arrow on the left and right of it
cursor. (like this: <->) That wasn't like that before.

Did I inadvertently change something in the preferences that I am not aware
of, or hit a key combination that makes that happen?

Is there anyone who is familiar with what I am describing?

I appreciate any help. Thanks! :grin;
