flash (macromedia) : SharePoint and Flash

I am trying to add a Flash video to a document library on a SharePoint 3.0
site. When I attempt to play the file after it's uploaded, I get the following
error:

SecurityError: Error #2148: SWF file http://fake/site/address/example.swf
cannot access local resource c:\temp\flash\example.flv. Only
local-with-filesystem and trusted local SWF files may access local resources.

So, two questions:

1. Why does the .swf file need to access the .flv file?
2. How can I change what directory the .swf file expects to find the .flv file
in?
