flash (macromedia): So I'm a budding website manager, self-taught on HTML and CSS. When creating
ads, I've used PhotoShop, and used ImageReady when I wanted to create a GIF.
Now I have clients wanting "Flashier" ads. My question is this: how hard is
Flash to learn, and do you recommend taking the Adobe classes/certification?

Flash has a very steep learning curve. It takes a couple of months of full
time work before you will be able to really do anything on your own. If you
are just doing ads, thats easier than intense interaction, so maybe less time.

Get the certification books, they are great. I used the developer book, and
was able to pass the test.

I agree, without much experience it will take some time to learn but I
encourage you to try, it is an awesome program. In addition to brycebarrand
comments, I would take a look at totaltraining.com and lynda.com for video
training...they have some excellent courses.
