I am trying to create a simple flash animation where first one line text is on
screen and then it blurs and vanishes to be replaced by the next line of text.
I have 8 lines of text that I want to do this to. I have each text on its own
layer. How do I drag say layer two over in the time line so that it doesn't
show until the end of the text/effect in layer one?

You could copy and paste the tweened frames of next line animation on new layer
to frame just after the last frame of previous animation sequence.

or

First, make sure you select all tweened frames and check the "sync" box in
properties pallete, That way you only have to swap symbols without doing new
tweens. Then, turn tween sequence into a movie clip and add a frame action at
end of sequence to load the next one. After that, just duplicate each one and
swap the text symbols in tween for new ones.

Hope that helps.

drag and select the range of frames/keyframes in the layer - then click/drag them down the timeline
- should take about 3 seconds. Hope this helps - sorry it wasn't obvious.

I tried that it won't let me move it. I ended up doing in Premiere Elements.
Took me 2 minutes. Adobe has a long way to go with Flash. I don't know why the
timeline can't work like one would expect it to.
