Hello!

[quoted text, click to view]

Fantastic! Flash is just the application for you.

Yes, you do need to know that, if you want to make credit-like text and
a logo.

P.S. What are your questions?

That's too general a question - what kind of movie? What will it contain? It's like buing a blank
canvas and paints and asking how do I paint a picture?

In it i would like to have text like Star Wars. How would i do that?
You would need to break apart the text into shapes and use the Free Transform tool's sub selection
tool (bottom of Toolbox) and hold down shift while dragging one of the lower corners to the side.

Then convert all the text to a symbol and motion tween with scaling.

Before you break apart your text, I would make a copy of this text (make it
into a graphic or movie clip and store it in the library). That way, if you
need to edit your text, you don't have to re-type everything but can simply
copy that text again and start from square 1.

Since you are new I won't suggest the Transition Manager class. I would just
tween this. Place your photo on whatever frame you want it to begin flashing
in. On a layer above it, you can create a white fill area that is the same size
as the image. Insert some blank keyframes here and there so that the white
image is there one frame and not the next and stagger these blank keyframes out
to your liking. I'm sure you can manage it from here.
