flash (macromedia):
Hello,

This a question concerning flash and the rest of the studio products running
on Vista. I know these products are not Vista capable and who knows when they
will as Adobe doesn't seem to care to much about the studio bundle.

But for now, running on Vista without Aero the title pallets background color
is black instead of gray. any way to change that back to gray? I tried all the
various "advance" mode in the display properties but nothing worked.

If anyone as a clue about a fix, patch or upgrade to Vista capable that will
helpful as well. other wise here comes a Mac.

Why would you claim Adobe doesnt care about the Studio bundle? Which one exactly?
Basically, you are installing a product that launched 2 years before Vista - it can not be expected
that it will runn properly if at all. System requirements for FLash MX 2004 don't include Vista
because Vista was still in development back then. This isn't Adobe fault - especially since
Macromedia developed Flash MX 2004 - and it is not an MS issue - it's you trying to install an old
version of Flash on a very new OS.
Mac or not, you shouldn't expect flawless performance in unchartered territory. use at your own risk
would apply here.
Although, you may find that older versions of Flash will have their own performance issues on Macs
as discussed heavily throughout this forum over the years.

I can't speak for Adobe in regards to this - and I have no idea, but maybe they will...? What other
companies are spending the time and money to develop patches for all their software to support
Vista? Just curious.

I meant to say - what other companies are spending time and money to develop patches for all their
*old* software...?

Then why don't the just make a patch like all the other software companies are
doing? I just upgraded to vista and all the programs I use offered patches or a
special discount for the new version that will work with vista.
