I started with Flash 4 exporting flash animation to video via Quicktime - it was the very reason why
we initially chose flash way back then - so you do not need the latest version of flash to export to
video - what is important is knowing how to setup your flash document so that all your assets will
export to video format - read that article i gave you.

When I started this project, I was stuck in the dark ages. I was using Flash
version 5 and exporting the presentation directly into a movie format was
unheard of. I just upgraded to version 8 and I'm giving File > Export > Movie
a try.
If this works it will be the simplest answer to a challenge I've run up
against yet. I was looking forward to 20 laborious steps of going through this
program and that program to try and convert it. But if the .avi or .mov that
comes from this export will then burn onto a DVD and play on a normal DVD
player and television then I'm one happy camper. Thanks.
