flash (macromedia):
Hitting a few websites that require Flash 8. So I download it and it says that
if you see the movie in the download window it was successful. Says I may have
to reboot so I do that. Go back to the websites and it says I need to download
Flash 8 again. This happens on several different computers I use. Am I
missing something?

Hello viator092,
Could actually be a problem with the Flash detection on the sites you are
visiting. Are you talking every Flash site you visit or only certain ones?
Got a link?

Seems to be many of them. I guess I really don't know because some sites may
be running Flash without the problem. I'm running IE 7. These are the sites
I've noticed recently.

Hello viator092,
Weird- I actually did get the alert on that first link, but the other two
worked fine for me. I am in FireFox though. I have heard some general grumbling
about some IE7 bugs that mess with Flash but I don't have specifics.

Have you tried viewing the sites (or downloading Flash 8) in FireFox? I know
that's not really a solution, but might be a quick work-around.
