flash (macromedia): Hi everyone,

Hopefully someone either knows if this is a common error or a way to fix it.

I'm making a flash animation that needs to be timed to an audio file about 3
minutes long. But every time I try to save the flash document with the audio
file attached to a key frame, Flash freezes and I must force quit the program.
Is there some sort of restriction on how large (file size) or long (time) an
audio file can be in order for Flash to save a document with it? It seems to
me that would be really silly, but I can find no other explanation of why it's
freezing while saving. I tested saving flash documents without the large audio
file and the program had no trouble.

Hello kiati,
I work with audio and Flash very often but have never seen this error.

- What version of Flash are you using?

- How large is the audio file you are trying to import?

- What type of audio file?

- Are you able to play the timeline while in Flash (enter) before you save
the flash file?

- Are you able to publish the Flash (shift F12) before saving?

Hi Jesse,

I've actually just discovered that the reason it will not save is due to the
fact that I am running an intel macbook pro. I tested it on an older computer
and it runs perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the Adobe documentation doesn't
talk about this incompatability. I will contact them and try and work out the
problem. Thanks for the suggestions though!
