flash (macromedia): hey everyone - long time, no see! ok, so i'm making a banner and i want to have
a halo look like it's dropping from above. i'd like it to both drop (motion
tween, right?) and look like it's rotating in air (squashing it and using a
shape tween) - my question is - how do i make it do both? i can only
accomplish one effect or the other. i'm using flash 8 professional. any help
would be great! please keep in mind that i'm a flash idiot and need even
really obvious stuff spelled out :P

No problemo. Press Ctrl+F8 to create a new symbol and select "Movie Clip".
Here's where you can put your pretty shape tween. Now exit the clip by clicking
on "Scene 1" just above the timeline and drag the clip from the Library (F11)
onto the main stage. Then you can simply add the falling and squashing motion
to the clip using the motion tween on the main timeline. You won't be able to
see shape tween if you simply press Enter to run the animation, but you will
see the full effect if you test the animation with Ctrl+Enter.
