flash (macromedia): Hi,

Using Flash 8 Video Encoder, I've output an FLV (On2VP6) and added it to my
..fla file. I used the "ClearExternalPlaySeekMute.swf" component with a relative
path. I then created both a projector and swf for testing. Both work fine on
any machines that have Flash 8 Pro installed. If I try to run these off any
other machine, however, Flash Player 8 opens but nothing loads. I simply get
the player window with a white background. Any thoughts to what I'm missing?

BTW, the same issue seems to occur for FLV's encoded by Spark and published
with Flash 8 Pro.

Thanks,
Devin

Hello deke,

"I've output an FLV (On2VP6) and added it to my .fla file"

Are you transfering over not just the swf but also the flv file? The FLV
component does not embed the flv file. It just points to the external flv,
so that file must be present on any computer or server that you are trying
to play the video on.

Yes, the files are located within the same directory. Whether I move the files
(all of them) or try to run them from the same directory location in which they
were created, it's a no go on other systems that do not have Flash 8 installed.

Bump. Sorry but I thought I'd try to move the thread up with the start of the new week.
