flash (macromedia):
Yes I know I'm not discussing flash but I'm trying to voice for some of my
flash movies. The recording program I use is Audacity.

Is it possible to give my voice a darker deeper tone to it like demonic with a
small echo? I don't specifics but just advise what I should mess with to attain
that effect.

Thanks in advance.

So you've come to a Flash forum for advice on how to use Audacity and then seem
to demand help? What have you learned by yourself in the last two days? Help
yourself and then come back and post what you have learned to help others.

There are all kinds of filters and effects that come with Audacity. You would
probably have more success by posting on the Audacity forums.

PS: Not trying to be harsh, but people who bump and just say, "Help me."
really annoy me. Everyone here is a volunteer and in general we are all happy
to share, but to get sometimes you have to give.

Well I appreciate the link. I was unaware of that forum and I figured someone
on this forum must have had some experience with audio would have been here.

Although you did come on as......a bit strong if not harsh.

It's not available but they are taking pre orders, which usually means it is right around the corner.

I should also add - Adobe Audition can change the pitch of your sounds very easily.

Hope you find what you need. It wasn't the off-topicness of it that bothered
me. Because as you point out, it really is a very closely related topic. I use
audacity all the time for my Flash files. Of course I have no idea really what
I'm doing and don't really know the way to tell anybody else how to use it.

I just hate bumps (and there were several of them that day) without any
indication of effort on the part of the poster. Come back with "and so I tried
the blah blah filter. It kind of works, but makes the screetch that isn't
right." or some such. You see what I mean? Indicate to us that you actually
care about this problem and others will too!

PS: a google search on "Audacity help" has the first hit a page that starts
with:

New! Have questions? Post them to the Audacity Forum.

That wasn't too hard to find. :)
