When I learned Flash I was taught that you must always convert your graphic to
a symbol before you can do a Motion Tween. I work on a Mac, and I have found

The animation I am currently working on is at a rate of 30 fps and when I test
the movie and export it out to test it my animation becomes jumpy and doesn't
run at the specified frames per second. I would like to know what can be done
to improve/ fix this situation.

delay when switching windows

if i am in another program and then i switch to flash, i experience a delay of
3-6 seconds while all the panels seem to "collect" themselves. they are all
blank for the pause, and then they display properly. this doesn't seem like a

When I try to Distribute to layers I get this error "can not complete operation
because of an unknown error" I tryed in on more then one document and I get teh
same thing on all the documents that I try it on. Is there something that I

Importing images

I'm always facing this problem of importing images. I usually use gradient
bacgrounds in my movies so as to give my images new backgrounds different from
their original backgrounds. I use FireWorks' "Magic Wand" tool to cut-off my

So far I'm having no troubles with Studio 8 and Photoshop CS2 on a new duel
core Athlon 64 computer but it is running Vista 32. Dell won't install Vista

How to uninstall old versions of Flash player?

I have the latest version of the Flash Player (9.0.28.0) installed.
However when I run Secunia's software inspector
(http://secunia.com/software_inspector/?task=load) it finds an old version of
the Flash 7.0.19.0 and flags it as 'Insecure'.
