flash (macromedia):
I don't think you will ever experience consistent results or even the remote possibility of success
with this - it has been known for years that flash alone in an email is simply not reliable due to
the vast number of ways users retrieve their mail (email clients, browser) and the infinite security
settings across platforms and users not to mention those who dont even have HTML email turned on.
That said, nobody would ever expect to try FLV video through flash in the body of an email - not to
say it can not be done - i just don't think anyone is really trying.

Hi,
I'm desperately trying to get a Flashplayer (SWF that plays FLV) into an
HTML-Email. It only has to work in MS Outlook...
On one system (Win2k with IE6) I managed the Player to load by changing
security settings, but it doesn't play the FLV - although Player and FLV are in
the same place on the same server. On another system (WinXP with IE7) it didn't
work at all, even with the lowest possible security settings.
Are there any hints on that topic? Anything I can do in HTML or Flash to make
it work better, or is it really just a matter of security settings?
Thanks,
Dominik
