flash (macromedia):
Hi all

I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks and I'm thinking of finally buying a Flash 8
Actionscript book and get my hands dirty.

I'm wondering if you have some tips on which book to buy.
I've stumbled upon these books:

http://www.amazon.com/Flash-ActionScript-Bible-Joey-Lott/dp/047177197X/ref=pd_bb
s_sr_9/103-2613417-9036649?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1179344276&sr=8-9

http://www.amazon.com/Macromedia-Flash-ActionScript-Training-Source/dp/032133619
4/ref=pd_bbs_5/103-2613417-9036649?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1179344342&sr=8-5

Do you recommend any of these? Or do you have any other tips?

I'm average when it comes to actionscript but I want to learn it thoroughly
and (very) advanced. [Maybe even in combination with PHP and XML]

Any tips would be appreciated, thanks

The TFTS books are always great and are full of hands-on examples.

If you are open to video tutorials Lynda.com has some great ActionScript
tutorials.
Also, if you like to have a bit of fun while learning actionscript, go to
CartoonSmart.com. There is a very good actionscript tutorial and incorporates
cartooning too!
