flash (macromedia):
Do you mean alt text? or the location of the link in the status bar?

Flash Communicating with HTML YTCollege

I am making a Flash drop-down menu to go on a HTML page. When the user hovers
over one of the choices, information about that button choice is supposed to
appear in a section of the HTML page. Is this possible? I am not sure where to
begin with this, and don't know the correct terminology to look it up. What do
I use? Does code go in my Flash file, or my web software? (I am using
Expression Web). Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!!

Hmm...not sure I follow you. Do you have an example of this?

The text is information about the page the user will see if he clicks on the
button. For example, the web site is for the library. The Flash DD menu is at
the top. The user hovers over the button "Books". The DD menu drops and the
user hovers over one of the choices , ie "E-Books". When the user is hovering
over "E-Books", information will appear (in the HTML page) about what the user
will see if he goes to the "E-Books" page, (Information like "What is an
E-Book?" and what kinds of E-Books can be searched for if they go to the page.)
