I've been testing out flash CS3 but I can't seem to open my flash 8 files in
it. It crashes before opening. Has anybody run into this? Is there any way to
fix this?

I open Flash 8 files with CS3 all the time. I'm on a Mac and I've received both
Mac and PC 8 files and they open properly. So whatever you are experiencing is
not normal. I'm sorry that I can't point you in any direction toward help other
than this is not as it is supposed to be. Good luck.
