Hi,
Flash can stream content via server but this require the server to support
that. You can easily stream Flash video content using the Import video feature
in Flash, and for streaming events ...etc. I guess you need Flash media server,
i am sorry as I do not know much about it.

soon Adobe is going to release the new Flash Player ...code name "Movie Star"
specially designed just for that purpose "streaming video"

& a brand new optimizer & compression manager ....with full support for H.264
"Mpeg 4" to help with the compression ...& also HE -AAC v.2 "Mpeg4" audio
compression

this is very cool !

You can use any version of Flash Communication Server or Flash Media Server to
stream live audio and video to a Flash Player SWF. If you want to use the Flash
Player to capture audio/video feeds from a webcam (and/or other camera device
connected to the computer), you can only real-time stream with the Sorenson
Spark codec (video) and the Nellymoser speech codec (audio). However, Adobe
released the Flash Media Encoder (FME) which enables you to real-time stream
from a stand-alone application (Windows only) with the On2 VP6 codec (video).
You need a Flash Media Server application to receive the output streams, which
in turn negotiates streams to connected clients. You can find hosted accounts
at places like Influxis.com for as cheap as $9.95/month, but your bandwidth
will be limited. The more you spend, the more you can stream. (Lots of folks
think you need to buy a full license to Flash Media Server, which costs around
$4000, to stream real-time audio/video, but most people use hosted services.)
