flash (macromedia):
I posted this about a week ago and got a couple responses, but then my computer
crashed so it never got fixed.
I have a short clip with several images with fading effects on them. When I
press Play in the work screen it does fine.
But, when I do Test Movie or Publish, the images are gone. Poof.

Please Help! : )

The Play is not reliable method to test movies, it's barely for frame based animation test.
If the fading does not work upon export, that means it is set up incorrectly.
You made some mistake in your animation but we can't possibly know what exactly went wrong
based on the description.

well, i still can't find a logical answer based on the info provided - typically, if you can see the
animation in the flash authoring environment, it is seen when published to SWF and viewed via the
flash player. If these are images (imported bitmaps?) the only way they couldnt be seen is if they
are being called dynamically (XML?) and there's a path issue...?
Maybe they reside on a Guide Layer?
I can't think of anything else - and as Urami said, hard/impossible to say without knowing how you
setup your FLA.

Well that was completely useless. Does anyone maybe have a suggestion that might actually help? Like what other information you might need to tell me what it is I'm doing wrong?

Here's your other thread:

Like we'd discussed there, we will need some more information to be able to
help you, if you could post your FLA file for one of us to look at, that would
be great, and I'm sure we can figure out what's wrong.

There must be something keeping the effects from operating, or not starting.
The online file you have mounted takes a long time to load also, and it
probably shouldn't be so, considering the amount of content.

Okay, this should work. The file should be there in a zipped folder.

Sorry, it didn't work, you can link to the file itself directly from here
though rather than creating a html page for it. use the 'reply' post and click
the link icon at the top of the input field, then add the address directly to
the file, click ok then add text for the link.

Hope that works. I've never done a link thru this before.
