The built in objects in php are a bit insecure just as well as in asp, though,
asp dosnt have any built in objects.

If you are concidering to use asp i'd recomend to have a look at the aspUpload
com+ object.
Easy to use and install.

can't you use shared objects to save some information on user's machine? or you
only want to write a text file?
If you are wanted to save some information related to your course(CD), for
example say bookmarking.. you can use shared object. Which will store key
information about bookmaked page.
But if you want to write a text file, maybe you can use third party tool like
Screenweaver, Flash Studio.
Using server side scripts in a presentation which is gonna run through CD is
not a good idea!

May be you can also go through undocumented "MMSave"!

Choice is yours..

No, I only want to write a text to user's Hard disk, it doesn't a cookie.
User select in Flash presentation some article and save it to file (if user
want's)
(I think MMSave doesn't help me)

what is Screenweaver tool?
