flash actionscript: Hi,

I am having a most difficult time finding a simple Action
script that allows me to pass a string variable from a php
and mysql script to a flash button.

I want the getURL(...) to reference a variable string for
instance:

php embed file: <param name="paramVars" value="<?php
variable_string ?>

and then the getURL in the flash button would be

getURL( variable string ...)

Any help greatly appreciated. Such a simple task and it
has taken me weeks to find this simple answer.

Could you be a little less cryptic and show me the code? It
is only about 4 to 5 lines.

I am fearless but need some light :)
