flash actionscript : Mouse Coordinates -- off .swf

Hi -
I'm trying to display mouse coordinates as a design element for my portfolio site.

That part is easy enough, but I want to keep tracking the coordinates even if the cursor moves off the .swf -- is this possible? All tutorials I've seen thus far only track the mouse coordinates when it's over the .swf.

thanks

Jack.

You could make a bckground far larger than the flash window, it should work.

I think this answers my question -- Bottom line, there is no easy way to get mouse coordinates off the flash movie... I think I'll go with option B which is to make my movie size larger so that it reads the coordinates even though it appears to be off the movies.

thanks for your help,

jeff
