Hi,

[quoted text, click to view]

You can use a third party tool like Jugglor which has an option to select
ONLY one instance of a particular Juggled file.

See

http://www.jugglor.com

Again use our other tool - JStart which will open any file on TOP on the
flash file.

Email us on support@flashjester.com if you have anymore questions.

Hope this helps.

Hmm; I think they (MM) have skipped on this undocumented feature in the
meantime so unless you're creating in Flash 5 you'd have a problem. There is
a free (for non-commercial use anyway) app that may or may not do the trick.
Check:

http://www.multidmedia.com/

And swf studio at www.northcode.com is also somewhat cheaper.

But of course providing a programmer with some work would be an act of
noblesse ;-)

I have an application that runs from CDROM. It pops up other flash exe files
when required. My questions:
1. How can I stop flash from popping up the same exe twice?
2. How can I bring the window (exe) flash pops up to the front from another
flash exe?

I know I can rebuild the modules and take them out of the popup exe format
but this is not desirable for this project.

I'm assuming there is a way with ini files or command parameters or ext.
text file (ikky)?

Any suggestions welcome?

TIA

Very interesting, if I had many commercial projects requiring many features
of jugglor it may be worth a look into. This tool appears to cost over $300
USD, this is way too much for the simple functionality I am trying to
achieve - I could pay a programmer this amount to write the functionality
into the flash source - along with most of the other jugglor features.

The undocumented method in Flash 5 (fs "save") would achieve the major
functionality of this too.

Wow, Northcode looks like it has a fair price and fair feature set. Gotta
check out it's window controls. But considering it is over $250 cheaper then
Jugglor and cheaper then the other one I would settle for just it's advanced
file save, read, and temp directory features - but it really does a lot!!!
Cool for users like me who are developing more CDROM materiel with flash now
rather then director. Still finding flash development a little slower then
the big ol' D, but each day goes by there is less cause for me to pick up
the ol' lingo tools.

Thanks!

Actually its $130 USD, bit more then I thought but still half the price of
the other goodies - and cross-platform to boot!
