My client is complaining the site I just build is not working in windows
98. I have a mac and don't even know anyone that has windows98, so I was
hoping someone could confirm the problem, let me know exactly where they
are having a problem, or tell me that it works fine for them. Do you
know of any problems with Flash and Windows98? I think the problem for
him is that the site is not opening. Maybe the flash tester is giving
him problems also, I don't even know. We communicate through someone
else. This client really computer illiterate, so he had problems with a
lot of things that had to do with his computer rather then what I build
for him. But if there is a problem I DO want to correct it. I would
really appreciate the help from any of you!!!

Thank you!!!

Client's almost certainly got the wrong version of the flash player
installed. 99 times out of 100 if you've seen the site working and it
doesn't work on another computer, it's because they've got the wrong
plugin. Find out what browser the client is using for a start - I'll bet
it's netscape or some other non-IE browser (cause IE would have updated
the flash player automatically if they had the wrong version, other
browsers don't) then get them to go here:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/test_version.htm
to find out *exactly* what version they have installed.

I just checked out your site in Windows 2000 using IE, NS4 & 7 and Opera
7 and it works in all of them. So if it doesn't work in Win98 I'll eat
my keyboard!

Nice site by the way..

MS just announced that it will continue support to Windows 98 until June 2006.
That is because 15% of PCs are still running 98 (including two First Edition
machines I have at home, one with MX, perfectly satisfactory). You need to
find another reason why client is unable to see your work.
