flash actionscript:
I keep seeing articles and stuff about modifying component source code. For
example, regarding the CommunicationComponents, on the Macromedia site is says
"customize component source code to create an even wider variety of
applications", which is exactly what I want to do. I've also seen an article
about customizing the list box component source code.

But how can I get to the source code of a particular component to modify it,
or even see it?? I'm really stumped. I'm using Flash MX Professional 2004.
I've been poking around for hourse. Please pardon my ignorance.

you can access the class files for all the components. the folders
are generally in the {Flash MX 2004\en\First Run\Classes\mx} directory

I think you're reading stuff to do with Flash MX. In Flash MX 2004 the
source code of components is hidden... You can get hold of it I think,
but not sure where. perhaps someone who's more familiar with MX 2004 can
help you!
