Hi, I have asked this question numerous times before in different forums but
no-one seems to want to respond. HELLO MACROMEDIA?? How exactly does on go
about getting support any of your products?

Anyway:

The PrintJob stuff does not work in some of the flash files that i have. They
are existing flash documents and inserting the _sample code_ does not work. I
can paste the same code into a blank fla and it works, but if i paste it even
in the first frame of the main timeline it does not. Using the almost totally
useless macromedia debugger it looks like the PrintJob is instantiated, but
..start just returns false.

If anyone out there can help me i can post you an example - i cant really post
it here because it is production code. Thanks.

I dunno but this looks like a bug to me.

they are both empty flash files with sample print code pasted in, one works,
they other does not. If that is not a bug or something missing from the
documentation (do you have to switch on the print capability??) i don't know
what is.
