hey all.
Im currently developing a game engine in flash mx :). I was wondering if it is
possible to use actionscript to write to a local file on the HD. Now...the
flash itself wont be on a webpage, its a projector, so i think its possible. IF
its possible could you please tell me how i would go about doing such a thing.

Thanks

Well, that's not completely true. Although there's limitations, you may use
the Local Shared Object (even from within browserenvironment) for storing,
retrieving and manipulating data locally. Examples at macromedia website. If
this doesn't suit your needs, then third party apps like www.jugglor.com
www.northcode.com www.screenweaver.com http://www.flashnpack.com/
http://www.multidmedia.com/ may be an option.
