I'm wondering if there sre there any tutorials or methods available to load
jpegs into an empty movieclip or placeholder on the stage when a user clicks
different buttons in the movie. All my jpegs are different sizes though. I have
about 50 photos.

Or if anyone can offer a better alternative that will also be great.

I'm a novice at actionscript so many thanks for any help,

Cesca

hi,
if You have FMX2004 at the start search 'loading jpeg and swfs files into
flash player' topic in Your Flash help,
there is a step by step tutorial how to do it using built-in components,
As You get familiar visit www.flash-kit.com > movies and type 'jpeg' into
search field,
there are several .fla files (tutorials) how to load jpegs into flash
player.
also take a look at: www.actionscript.org > tutorials or www.were-here.com
for more advanced subject about flash and jpegs,

hi,
if You have Flash MX goto Help menu then look for "samples", (You can do it
manually by browsing flash mx folder in explorer)
As I remember there is tutorial in Flash MX how to load jpeg into movie clip
and (as a bonus) how to use xml to help doing that,
I remember some nice undersea photos used there,
hth,
peter
