im attaching the swf movie which shows layout -
You start in scene 1

cllick on clothes, (takes you to scene3)
drag clothes into box, they disappear (hit target variables passed) ,
click back button to scene 1,
walking back lady has an if statement attached - if variable collected then
go to frame 16 of clothes mc (this is a blank frame - therefore makes clothes
invisible).
All works fine up until you move scenes,

now click on stereo (takes you to scene 2)
click back buttton
back to scene 1

the clothes are now visible again (so clothes mc has moved back to frame 1,
instead of staying on frame 16)

hope this is clearer.

would really appreciate any help you can give.

Have you tried making the variables global that need to be used in lots of places?

the extra information and download file above by Kaliedo refers to an earlier
posting under the same title "passing variables between scenes".


however i also posted my original question in another form under "hit target
make invisible" and seem to have come up trumps! thanks to Shan-Dysigns for
his helpful comments and others for their imput....
