i have a plain piece of text i need to make rotate in a cylindrical 3D stlye.

if this doesnt make sense its not like when right clikcing the text and
telling it to rotate, not that style of rotation.

It needs to rotate around in a 3D way.

If this makes any sense to any one please help!

you can't really do that in flash without extensive coding. You'll have to get
a 3D program like 3DS Max/Plasma and render an animation and import that as a
movie, or a video program like AfterEffects that will do the same thing. Or
maybe there's a 3rd party extra you can buy/install within flash, check out the
flash exchange download area
