Could Macromedia put out a more frustrating product???

Ok, just wondering if anyone knows a definite way to get rid of the ring that
remains after selecting something from a combo box.

I've searched the forum and found many other people have had this problem, but
the one workaround I found didn't work for me. Please help!!!

I hope Macromedia thinks twice next time before deciding for the rest of us
that we want to be limited by their "themes" that don't even work right.

You have just identified one of the major reasons why a lot of people will
not use those components, as for many it would often be faster to write
their own functionality ;-) Just my pointless 2 cents.

So it appears the focus remains on the combobox after you select an item.. so
it needs to shift focus away from the combobox in order for the ring to
disappear.. I get that.. but how is that accomplished?
