flash actionscript : mp3 plays too fast

I am loading external MP3's into sound objects and they are playing SUPER fast..

if i import the MP3's into the library and play them from the timeline they
play fine

does anyone know how to fix this problem?

use a sound editor and re-save using a sample rate of 11.025 hz
or a multiple of it...11025, 22050, or 44100.
outside of this range, Flash resamples and goes "chipmunk" ;)
