flash actionscript: Here is what I want to do - I want to have a button and when clicked, it will
pull a file off of the disk and save it to the computer. Is this possible, and

I would be surprised if this was possible, but if someone knows, I would certainly like to know too :-)

Well, you could try using the getURL...

then point it to the folder & file on the cd... it would most likely attempt
to open the file in a browser window or open a save as dialog...

Yeah, I did the whole direct link think, and it opens in a browser...

I want it to point to a save location.
