flash actionscript: This may be an overly simple answer to your question because it doesn't
involve actionscript.

Open up the timeline for the button (Right click on it, select edit in
place).
There will be four spaces in the timeline Up, Over, Down, and Hit
Insert a keyfame in Hit and draw a rectangle around the word you use for
your button. This will create a hot spot.
Return to the main timeline and test it out.
