I have created a movie clip that I use for a virtual tour. It is fairly large
and holds a lot of buttons. It works perfectly. The only problem I have is
that if I try to remove it from a layer it crashes flash. As a test, I copied
the mc and all of its associated buttons and graphics to a new flash file. I
added it to a blank layer. At that point, if I delete the mc or the layer or
even if I try to insert a key blank frame before it, Flash immediately closes
(well it asks me to send an error report first).

I'm using Flash MX 2004.

Does anyone know what is going on or how I can resolve this?

I have also faced a lot of problems with Flash MX in replacing graphics. Like i
have some graphic in flash file library and if i copy image from different file
and try to replace it in first file then almost 90% case flash quits. ( the
image names and type are same in both files.)

What i tried is to delete the image from library and then reimport it.
So what i tink is that ur problem is cuse of heavy graphics u r using. So
untill & unless u attach ur file it won't be possible to check the cause of
problem.
