flash actionscript : flash player and xp memory usage question

Hi-

Sorry if this is off-forum, but maybe this is script related?

I have a 6 meg SWF flash movie made up of high quality imported jpg sequence
playing in a kiosk environment via the latest ie6.
When viewing XP Task Manager while this is playing the iexplore.exe process
takes up approx 200Meg!?

It crashes a PC kiosk with only 256Meg.

My friend who has Flash MX converted the jpg sequence to video and imported
it directly. We got the SWF down to 900k.
But even with this the iexplore.exe process shows about 35-40Meg used in
Task Manager.

Can anyone correlate SWF size or design to Memory Usage in XP and offer any
links or
detailed info on same?

Is there documentation out there that maps SWF size or design decisions to
final memory usage size?

Thanks very much,
Lee

Try publishing it as a standalone Projector file.

This may help.
