That article, though close, doesn't address my problem. I'm not having a
browser specific issue with Netscape. Exactly the opposite, actually.

From the example they give, though, it does seem like I shouldn't be having a
problem.

I have tried both getURL("#anchor"); and getURL("file.htm#anchor"); -- neither
seems to work in IE6 on Win2K. The latter does work perfectly in Firefox 1.0.7,
though.

Whoa... whoa... wait a second. I just tried something and now I'm really
confused.
It works fine in Firefox. Period.
In IE locally it doesn't work at all.
In IE on the server it goes to the anchor correctly but it breaks the back
button! What's up with that?!
