Custom Parameters Panel for Components

Custom Parameters Panel for Components mprescott

flash actionscript: Hi, Prior to Flash 6 offered a technique for building custom parameter
panels for custom built components. The MediaPlayback component
demonstrates such a panel. I know how to use Inpectable and Collection
tags for my components, but the standard parameter panels are a bit
restrictive and cumbersome for my components. What is the AS2.0/Flash
MX 2004 compliant method for creating custom parameter panels for
components? Also, it appears that even with the MediaPlayback
component's swf-parameter panel, the swf is not "fitting" within the
parameter panel. How can I get the size of the parameter window such
that my custom parameter panel (yet unbuilt) to adjust it's width and
height appropriately to encompass the area of the panel completely?

Oops. I meant to say "Prior to Flash MX 2004, Flash 6 ...."

Well I found the obvious, right-clicking a symbol in the Library will
open the context menu, with an item referring to Component Definition,
in the Component Definition window there is setting for Custom UI.
Not much in the help files about actually using it though.
