flash actionscript: hi. I've had plenty of experience with loadin g xml to creat stuff, but I seem
to have hit a problem with password protected xml. I ultimately do a load xml
on http://username:password@www.thesecurebitofhtesite.com/securebit/myfile.xml
but it always throws and error, when publishing in FMX2004Pro. (Works fine when
publishing through a browser, but i really need to watch the trace) can anyone
shed any light on this for me? it's quite urgent, as I'm not allowed the use
the 'proxy' php script I had planned to use. (or any other external script)

Well... the simple explanation is that Windows, in their infinite wisdom have
disabled passing (http:username:password@www.anything.com) credentials in that
manner. It sucks, I use to do it all the time, but that no longer works. Hope
that helped, I have no quick work aorund for you.
